Pilgrims Hospice Society offers compassionate care for people facing life-limiting illnesses and their families. Volunteers are deeply integrated into the organization, contributing more than 14,000 hours annually. Roles range from direct resident support, grief group assistance, and kitchen help to specialized services like music, art, massage, or pet therapy. There are also opportunities in front-of-house reception, adult day programming, and behind-the-scenes fundraising or governance.
Each volunteer receives orientation and, if applicable, special training for sensitive roles. By joining, volunteers provide comfort, companionship, and practical support at the Roozen Family Hospice Centre in Edmonton.
